Celebrating 10 Years of Applause

AURORA ARTS THEATRE

CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF APPLAUSE

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — January 22, 2020 will mark Aurora Arts Theatre 10th anniversary, and to celebrate we are bringing back the theatre’s inaugural production — Nunsense directed by Corey Ranson set to run Friday, January 17, 2020 through Sunday, March 1, 2020.

Bringing this “habit forming” musical to the stage again will be fabulous as we’ve been fortunate enough to reunite most of the original cast & production team.AAT was founded by the late Edward Chapa who provided the Coastal Bend community and beyond with a theatrical venue where the elements of theatre are enjoyed, practiced, and shared with all theatre actors, musicians, volunteers and patrons .”I often say that the theatre was Ed’s last gift to me as it gave me something to focus on after his passing,” said owner and executive director, Mary Chapa. “When I see all who are enriched, entertained, and empowered by our productions, I realize that it is a gift I share with the entire community.”

We have proudly served over 120,000 patrons, produced over 60 productions, and has have the privalge to welcome 1,000 volunteers since our inaugural show.

“It has been an honor to work and showcase our talented actors, band members, volunteers, directors and our patrons in South Texas and beyond.”
