Aurora Arts Theatre Brings Holiday Magic to the Coastal Bend With Elf the Musical

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (Nov. 6, 2025) — Aurora Arts Theatre caps off its fifteenth anniversary season with the Coastal Bend premiere of Elf The Musical, opening November 21, 2025, for a limited run of seventeen performances.

Based on the 2003 hit film, Elf The Musical follows Buddy, a young orphan who ends up at the North Pole and is raised by Santa’s elves. When he discovers he is human, Buddy travels to New York City to find his real family and remind everyone of the true spirit of Christmas through joy, optimism, and a belief that the season can bring out the best in us all.

“Ending our fifteenth season with Elf The Musical feels right,” said Creative Director Dylan Rios. “This production has never been staged in the Coastal Bend, and we are excited to bring a new holiday tradition to our community. It is joyful and full of heart, which is everything Aurora has stood for since the beginning.”

The production is directed by Drake Jackson, with Mariah Treadwell as assistant director. “This show is pure fun from start to finish,” said Jackson. “It is filled with great music, humor, and moments that remind us why we love the holidays and why live theatre matters.”

Elf The Musical features a talented local cast of 22 performers and a score that will bring the nostalgia of the holiday season to life.

Performances run November 21 through December 27, 2025, with shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.

General admission tickets are $20, with VIP front row center seating available for $25.
